LABR 3P06 paper.
"Is ideology ever socially controlling?" 10-12 pages double spaced. Due Tuesday, March 19th April 2nd. I'm not going to get this paper in on time, but the prof doesn't believe in penalizing for lateness, so I'm taking advantage of that. Current status: Approximately 1000 words, two pages single-spaced. I'm hoping to get it in within a week. DON'T REMEMBER WHAT DAY I HANDED THIS IN, I JUST KNOW THAT I DID.

I've heard repeatedly that my input is good, I just don't do it enough. To be honest, when my 2F12 TA said that to me, I had initially assumed she was just taking pity on me since being a first-year student taking mostly second- and third-year classes, I am at a huge disadvantage. However, a TA would only be harming me in the long run by lying, so. The problem isn't what I say, it's that half the time I don't say it.
I am not great at talking! Especially in such a structured setting that literally determines my grades. I've always been much better at writing than verbal communication, but I know full well that I'm going to need to learn how to articulate myself without tripping over my words or talking too fast or thinking I sound like the town idiot and discouraging myself into shutting up. If all my seminars were first-year seminars, I'd have some leeway. In the seminars I am in now, it's expected that the students have overcome their seminar shyness and can contribute.
Have mercy on me, TAs. :(
UPDATE ON PAPERGATE
My film assignment for Labour 1F90 is finished! I only went a little above the recommended page count and didn't really go out of my way to edit it. I doubt my TA for the class will be so much reading what I write as reading her perception of what I write, so whatever!
...I suppose I should finally look at my mark for my film assignment last semester.
