I hate all desktop computers. Of all brands. Forever.
However, I'm not currently hating my HP. I like the all-in-one thing. They're a little pricy but should be less so if you don't want 1) to be able to play The Sims or World of Warcraft, or 2) touchscreen functionality, which I have since disabled anyway, because this stupid cat kept "casually" walking past, brushing the screen with his tail, and closing all my windows.
Computers and I have a long, abusive history with each other. They crash. Setting mysteriously change themselves. Macs bluescreen. Hard drives fail. Laptops burst into flame.
I'm not exaggerating. I am the death of computers.
I had this HP laptop that was having this weird screen issue. I sent it to HP for repairs since it was still in warranty, and they sent it back, saying, "We fixed it!"
Then it kept happening, and I sent it back to them. And then they sent it back again, saying, "Nope, we couldn't find anything. It's fixed." And it kept happening, and I sent it back again, going, "SERIOUSLY, IT'S NOT FIXED."
Then when they sent it back I gave up and grimly kept using it despite the screen issues. And then I started hearing little poppy noises as the problem got worse.
And then eventually they graduated into sparks!
And then a piece of the computer sparked, and was on fire, and melted.
So, the moral of this story is that, in my search for a new desktop computer, I should stay away from HP laptops because they will burn my house down! :D
I think I have the same one as Kay! Or similar. I use an HP TouchSmart. IT'S KIND OF LIKE THIS but mine was 200$ more for +4" on the screen and +165 hard drive gb than that one.
I thought the whole OOO IT'S A TOUCH SCREEN would be cool at first but omg it's so annoying. And I'm too lazy to disable it. Oops. Other than that, it's served me well!! I like that it doesn't need a huge tower so it saves up on space, it has a built in microphone so I didn't need to buy one, the webcam's adjustable and of decent quality, the speakers are LOUD AS HELL (which i only mention because before i bought it, i read a review that said the speakers on it were shitty and very low but they are nottttt), and even with all the crap I have downloaded on it + my crappy internet it has never given me any issues.
Yeah, I don't think I'd want something with a touch screen. The rest of it looks good, though! An all-in-one would be ideal since I'm moving into a much smaller place. It hasn't been buggy at all?
July 2011 I got this monster HP Desktop, it has 12 GB of ram and idk I think six cores? (I have no idea what that means but it was apparently impressive when I bought it.) It's runs things very smoothly, and I haven't had any trouble with it in the year or so I've used it!
I'm not going to lie, the all-in-one is really convenient. I love not having a separate computer tower and eight billion wires. The all-in-one computer only needs one cable: POWER. The ones Li and I got are kind of ginormous and bulky so they're not as easy to move, but I love being able to move them easily if I want.
For maximum awesome, acquire bluetooth or other form of wireless keyboard and mouse.
You are really selling me on this all-in-one thing! This is what I was looking at yesterday, although it probably wouldn't be this particular model since I really don't need 27" or that scrolling display they talk about in the video.

12 GB of RAM sounds amazing, not going to lie... No complaints at all?
