So I might have managed to wreck my knee beyond all repair while in Europe. Walking became a testament in endurance the last couple of days of the trip and I had to skip out on seeing a museum - even though I love museums - because I couldn't make it up the hill. Since then, I've had nothing to do but sit around the house, clean, play video games and whatever else strikes my fancy, and my knee hasn't been bothering me nearly as much?

Not all that ends well, however, because even the smallest errand leaves me limping and in pain at the end of it.

I'm holding off on seeing a doctor because I don't have health coverage right now and won't until September, but if this interferes with my plan to go back to work in March, I will probably have to. As such, my own habit of playing Google Doctor isn't really giving me ideal results. Chondromalacia patella is a very scary name to give a knee malfunction. I'm hoping that the symptoms aligning perfectly means nothing and that my knee pain can be solved with simply a prescription.

But, fucking ow, man.

A conversation that legitimately just occurred in my household.

Sarah: Hey Jes, I found something special at the [grocery] store!
Me: Cool, paper magazines!
Sarah: ......... They're pizza bagels.
Me: I KNEW THAT SHUT UP

This is a paper magazine. I reload and shuffle them around at work.

This is the box Sarah was showing me.

Apparently they're interchangeable in Jesland.
